The league was formed in 1975 by Bill Blake of
Handsworth golf club and John Shaw; initially
started with seven clubs.

By 2012 that number has risen to 54 and split
into 9 divisions. The clubs are from the
following affiliated counties:

Staffordshire - 21

Worcestershire - 16

Warwickshire - 16

Shropshire - 1
This year we have had three more clubs join the
league, Stourbridge, Stratford-on-Avon and Trentham
bringing the number to 54
Matches are 8 a side singles playing off level
on a home and away basis.
It is undoubtedly a very competitive league and
over the years has seen some good quality golf
played.
The passage of time has seen many changes
particularly on the rules. Some examples being
allowing the use of GPS measuring devices,
ladies being allowed to play for their club.
Match results will continue to be updated on a
regular basis.
